On Wednesday, the 19th of November 2025, the Association of Arewa Youths Development Lagos Residents (AAYDLR), a registered Non-Governmental Organisation committed to humanitarian advancement, community development, and youth empowerment, paid a courtesy visit to AiFei Chinese School Festac Centre. The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Efe Yahaya-Shuaibu, with whom they held a brief but highly productive meeting focused on exploring strategic collaboration.

AAYDLR, headquartered at Okokomaiko, is made up of peace-loving, well-cultured Northern youths, many of whom were born and raised in Lagos. The organisation’s mission centres on re-orientating Northern settlers in Lagos, providing scholarship support to persons of humble backgrounds, empowering vulnerable groups, and reducing the almajiri influx through strong partnerships with government agencies.
Their thematic areas include youth participation in social and humanitarian work, professional scholarship sponsorship, skills acquisition in high-tech and entrepreneurial fields, and long-term plans to establish healthcare facilities, support out-of-school children, and advocate for policy reforms. AAYDLR also works actively to rehabilitate street beggars, engage communities, and provide legal and social support for Northerners in Lagos.
During the visit to AiFei Chinese School Festac Centre, discussions centred on building a mutually beneficial collaboration that will enhance educational access, cultural exchange, and youth development. Both parties expressed optimism about future partnerships that will positively impact Northern youths in Lagos and strengthen community ties.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both organisations reaffirming their commitment to working together for greater societal development and contributing to Nigeria-China relations through AiFei Chinese School programs.
